Job summary

Alaska Behavioral Health seeks an Office Manager to lead fiscal operations for the Anchorage (or Fairbanks) clinic. The role is full-time and exempt, with responsibilities ranging from budgeting and accounts payable/receivable to financial reporting and third-party payer coordination.

You will work with the Clinic Director and CFO, ensure policy compliance, and help with risk management and data analysis to support veterans and families served by the Cohen Clinic network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or progress toward a bachelor’s with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of experience with 3rd-party payers, coding, billing, posting, and adjudication of claims.
• At least 3 years of experience collecting, analyzing and reporting financial data.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and related health IT acts.
• Must work well independently or in a team and solve problems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fiscal operations and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Serve as liaison between the Clinic and the Chief Financial Officer.
• Manage budgeting, accounts receivable/payable, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Coordinate managed care billing with Intake Coordinator and Clinic Director; manage third-party payer relationships.
• Coordinate clinician credentialing (CAQH) for third-party insurance.
• Maintain and monitor all financial records for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Assist clients and staff with billing and insurance-related issues.
• Establish risk management and business continuity policies.
• Collaborate with staff and network around financial data collection and reporting.
