Job summary

Chubby Cattle International in Los Angeles seeks a Finance Operations Specialist to support restaurant finance systems, inventory, COGS, and training across 50+ locations. You will assist with new store openings, system configuration, and day-to-day financial issues, collaborating with Operations, Finance, and store teams.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in finance operations or restaurant operations, experience with inventory systems, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Finance Operations, Accounting, or Restaurant Operations experience preferred.
• Restaurant, hospitality, multi-unit retail, or other high-volume multi-location experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with Craftable preferred. Experience with Restaurant365, MarginEdge, MarketMan, or similar platforms is also highly valued.
• Strong understanding of inventory, COGS, and variance analysis.
• Comfortable configuring and troubleshooting finance and inventory systems.
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Strong communication, training, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing restaurant organization, with occasional travel to support new store openings.
• Mandarin Chinese proficiency preferred for work-related communication with restaurant teams

Responsibilities

• Support new store setup, including system configuration, item list creation, vendor setup, and operational information maintenance
• Troubleshoot invoice, vendor, item, inventory, and store-level system issues
• Maintain accurate restaurant-level financial and inventory data
• Review restaurant inventory submissions and investigate unusual variances
• Perform COGS calculations, variance analysis, and audits
• Support inventory verification as part of month-end close
• Identify inventory and invoice discrepancies and work with restaurant operations to resolve issues
• Help improve inventory accuracy and restaurant cost-control processes
• Conduct inventory, invoice, and finance process training for new General Managers
• Support new restaurant openings and finance system onboarding
• Work closely with store managers, vendors, Operations, and Finance teams to resolve day-to-day financial issues
• Assist with process improvement and standardization as the company continues to scale
