Job summary

UTHealth Houston’s McGovern Medical School Finance Office seeks a Manager of Finance to oversee financial operations supporting the MSRDP and GME Office. The manager will supervise staff, ensure accurate and timely financial activities, and prepare reports and reconciliations across both areas.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and five years of related experience. A hybrid work schedule is offered with greater on-site presence during training and transition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Minimum of five years of related financial or accounting experience.
• Residency requirements: Texas resident status as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of finance units and supervise staff.
• Prepare, review, and approve financial reports, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Monitor MSRDP and GME financial activity and ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with departments and stakeholders to ensure timely transactions.
• Develop procedures to promote accurate and efficient financial processes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
