Job summary

Hearst's WDSU in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Business Manager who blends finance/accounting with HR leadership. You will support employees, manage core HR activities, and partner with the regional finance team on closings, forecasts, and budgets.

Strong communicator to collaborate across departments and ensure accurate financial performance. The role requires in-person presence, with reporting to the President and GM.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience
• Previous HR experience required; PHR/SPHR/SHRM certification a plus
• Payroll experience is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/financial software
• Experience with Oracle HCM, Wide Orbit, and ADP

Responsibilities

• Manage HR activities and employee relations across the organization
• Oversee onboarding/offboarding, leaves, and workers' compensation
• Process invoices, review expenses, and maintain contracts
• Oversee real estate and tax reporting; ensure accurate reporting
• Assist forecasting and budgeting; liaison with regional accounting team
• Support bi-weekly payroll review and reconciliation
