Job summary

NORTHESTER SUPPLY INC is seeking an Accountant Assistant for a full-time, home office role supported by the Finance department in Golden Ring, MD. The position focuses on fleet-related accounting, month-end close, and cross-departmental support for AP/AR and card administration.

The role requires an Associate's degree with 3+ years of experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Intermediate Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Fleet & vehicle administration, including fuel card program management and driver assignments.
• Support month-end and year-end close procedures and liaise with AP/AR.
• Cross-train with AP Specialist and Credit Specialist to cover vacations.
• Corporate Card & Financial Data Management: monitor spending, manage card expenses, and reconcile statements.
• Enter payroll and other data into the ERP system; initiate transfers as needed.
• Provide administrative support and manage special projects.
