New Mexico Department of Justice is seeking a staff member to provide support in procurement and accounts payable, and assist with daily office tasks, record keeping, and data entry of financial documents.

The role collaborates with internal staff, vendors and third-party entities to ensure daily financial transactions are accurately processed and recorded for fiscal management. In this environment, familiarity with GAAP and compliance is essential.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or Equivalency and six (6) months experience in bookkeeping, office administration, auditing, accounting, and/or finance.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure required documentation is received and verified before processing inmate financial transactions
• Review transactions for documentation of obligation, payment authorization, timely payment and accurate recording
• Communicate with vendors and clients
• Review, audit and pay invoices against approved purchase documents
