Job summary

The New Mexico Department of Health is seeking a Contracts and Financial Specialist to support the Center for Public Health Operation by managing and processing agreements including General Service, Professional Service, and Memorandum of Agreements. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or Business Administration and two (2) years directly related work experience in accounting, auditing, finance, and/or budgeting. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare contracts from initiation to execution.
• Add scope of work to contract templates and ensure budget accuracy.
• Track payments and coordinate with divisions, Office of the General Counsel, and ASD for timely submissions.
• Submit contract packets for final approval and execution and maintain contract logs using Excel pivot tables.
