Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a BI Manager to lead a team of Finance BI Developers and Analysts responsible for designing, building, and governing reporting, analytics, and automation solutions that support Finance and business-wide decision making.

This role sets development standards, semantic model architecture, and governance practices for the Finance BI team and partners with Finance leadership to translate priorities into a coordinated roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, BI or Application Development.
• 2+ years of experience leading or managing a technical team.

Responsibilities

• Leads, manages, and develops a team of Finance BI Developers and Analysts.
• Serves as the primary escalation point for complex Power BI, SQL, data modeling, and Power Automate issues.
• Owns and evolves Finance BI architecture, semantic model design standards, data governance practices, and development guidelines across the team.
• Partners with Finance leadership and business stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into a prioritized team roadmap and resourcing plan.
• Reviews and approves Power BI reports, semantic models, DAX measures, data transformations, and documentation before deployment to ensure quality and consistency.
• Ensures reports have up-to-date training available for end-users.
• Oversees workspace management, permissions, deployment processes, and access controls, including Row Level Security, across the Finance BI Power BI environment.
