Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Assistant Finance BI Leader to deliver and support finance dashboards, automated reporting, data requests, complex models, and ad‑hoc analytics for FP&A and key Finance partners. Reporting to the Finance BI Leader, this role serves as deputy, helping manage priorities and ensure timely, high‑quality delivery across the portfolio.

This role requires a self‑starter with hands‑on Power BI and SQL skills, strong finance acumen, and the ability to translate business questions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Data/Analytics required.
• 5+ years in corporate finance, FP&A, or finance operations.
• 3+ years Power BI production dashboards experience.
• 2+ years SQL experience in reports and data queries.
• Experience in a professional services firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day team leadership, set priorities and intake management.
• Independently drive initiatives, identify next steps, escalate risks.
• Manage Power BI reports, enhancements, data pulls, automation.
• Collaborate with IT and Finance to improve analytics and outcomes.
• Define metrics and reporting requirements with FP&A and Finance teams.
• Establish BI standards, training, and documentation for reports.
• Align stakeholders on scope, timelines; escalate issues as needed.
• Lead cross-functional finance improvement projects.
• Other duties as required.
