Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking an Assistant Finance BI Leader to assist with delivering finance dashboards, automated reporting, data requests, and complex financial models for FP&A and Finance partners.

The role reports to the Finance BI Leader and acts as deputy, coordinating work intake, removing blockers, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery across the portfolio. Strong Finance acumen and hands‑on Power BI/SQL skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in corporate finance, FP&A, or finance operations
• Power BI experience: 3+ years building and supporting production dashboards
• SQL experience: 2+ years writing queries and reports
• Experience in a professional services firm such as accounting, financial services, or banking (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Supports day‑to‑day team leadership, helping set priorities and manage intake
• Independently drives initiatives forward, identifies next steps and removes blockers
• Manages requests for Power BI reports, data pulls, and process automation
• Collaborates with IT, Finance Leadership, and other Finance pillars to improve analytics and reporting efficiency
• Defines metrics, business rules, and reporting requirements with FP&A and other Finance teams
• Maintains BI development standards, user training, and documentation
• Manages stakeholder expectations and aligns on scope, timelines, and delivery dates
• Leads cross‑functional projects and finance improvement initiatives
• Performs other duties as required
