Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 5 years of accounting or finance experience, with accounts payable and accounts receivable experience required.
• Experience working with QuickBooks.
• Experience in a nonprofit environment preferred.
• Familiarity with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, billing, and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting monthly or year-end close processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices and prepare payments.
• Enter accounts receivable and record incoming payments.
• Assist with tuition, extended-care, and auxiliary-program billing.
• Monitor outstanding balances and send routine payment reminders.
• Respond to basic parent questions about invoices and balances.
• Enter and code transactions in QuickBooks.
• Reconcile credit-card transactions and collect receipts.
• Maintain organized accounting records.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
• Prepare basic AP, AR, and balance reports.
• Research straightforward payment or invoice discrepancies.
• Provide general administrative support to the Business Office.
