Truckee Sanitary District (TSD) seeks an experienced Finance and Administrative Manager to lead the District’s finance and customer services operations. Reporting to the General Manager, the role plans, manages and directs financial activities, budgets, and administrative programs.
Ideal candidate has public agency finance background, budgeting and contract administration experience, and strong leadership skills to guide staff and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
Truckee Sanitary District (TSD), formed in 1906, is an award-winning public agency responsible for the collection and conveyance of wastewater for the rapidly growing mountain community of Truckee, California, located just 15 minutes from Lake Tahoe. The District owns and operates over 200 miles of sewer mains, 13,000 laterals, 44 pump stations, 4 buildings, and a fleet of over 40 vehicles and equipment.

TSD is seeking a motivated, qualified, and experienced professional who will embrace TSDs core values to apply for the open Finance and Administrative Manager position. Reporting to the General Manager, this position plans, manages and directs the Districts finance and customer services operations.
Our ideal candidate should have a solid and demonstrated background in public agency finance and governmental accounting, along with extensive experience in public agency budget development and contract administration. They will have knowledge of financial information systems, implementation experience with a financial system, and related technology. They will have a high level of leadership skills, including, but not limited to, the ability to select, train, supervise, motivate, develop, and evaluate staff. This position requires the ability to interpret, apply, and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
Education: Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with major coursework in finance, business or public administration, or equivalent is required. A Masters degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible financial and administrative program management experience.
