Responsibilities

This is the third of four finance analyst roles within a multi-site, multi-specialty academic medical center. Responsibilities include ensuring the integrity of financial and statistical data through preparation or review of ledger entries, reports, and reconciliations. The role involves providing leadership in a team environment, supporting division and departmental activities, and actively communicating and presenting information to various audiences. You will use reporting tools to develop management financial information with significant institutional impact, and serve as a subject matter expert in finance, accounting, or compliance. Additional duties include developing financial reporting programs, interpreting accounting rules, and proactively identifying opportunities to increase financial margins while maintaining Mayo standards and minimizing risks. The role also entails developing business models, providing analytical support, mentoring staff, and leading multidisciplinary projects.

This position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates living within driving distance of Mayo Clinic campuses in Arizona, Rochester, or Florida. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of six years of applicable experience in accounting or finance if degree is in Accounting or Finance; nine years if in other business-related fields. A master's degree in accounting, finance, MBA, MHA, CPA, CMA, or CIA can substitute for one year of experience. Knowledge of accounting and finance practices is essential, with professional designations preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, large accounting or grant management systems, and investigative skills. Strong attention to detail, customer service, communication, and leadership abilities are required.

Additional Details

Exempt status, annual salary range of $86,632 to $133,764.80, full-time schedule with 80 hours per pay period, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. No international assignment. Mayo Clinic locations include campuses in Arizona, Florida, Minnesota, and Midwestern communities.
