Job summary

University of South Florida is seeking an Assistant Director of Finance and Accounting to apply accounting principles, analyze financial information, and prepare reports including quarter-end statements. The role coordinates accounting controls across systems and supports the Finance Director in complex accounting decisions.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5+ years of related experience and offers a pathway to impact departmental financial performance in a major USF

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting, including analyses, monitor budget-to-actual results, and support decisions.
• Prepare or review payroll for all MCOM faculty, including setup for new hires and biweekly adjustments.
• Maintain and monitor physician compensation models, productivity/wRVU calculations, incentives, and analyses.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports and models; support Finance leadership on performance, payroll, and special projects.
• Interpret and monitor accounting policies; maintain GL accuracy and cross-system consistency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
