Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of relevant experience with a Master's degree.

Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive financial reporting operations.
• Manage production of the University’s Annual Financial Report.
• Oversee external reporting and audit requirements.
• Provide strategic support to College, Unit, and Component Unit stakeholders.
• Lead a high-performing financial reporting team.
• Develop and implement innovative departmental strategies.

Skills

Certified Public Accountant or equivalent certification

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word

Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Experience managing and reporting on internal and external audit activities

Experience with financial statement consolidation and reporting

Experience using PeopleSoft and/or Workday Financial systems

Experience with government or higher-education accounting

Education

Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area
