Job summary

GEODIS in West Sacramento is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for Final Mile to lead dispatch, supervise drivers and contractors, and ensure on-time, accurate loadouts. You will coordinate routes, communicate service expectations, and maintain daily operation standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced logistics environment, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of final mile/warehouse experience.
• Leadership/dispatcher experience preferred.
• Experience with independent contractors or third-party carriers preferred.
• Experience with routing software (DispatchTrack) preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Hire and manage the dispatcher role.
• Supervise and participate in employment decisions, such as hiring, training and evaluating subordinates.
• Ensure accurate daily loadout, staging freight, verifying manifests, and on-time dispatch.
• Lead daily stand-up with independent contractors, communicating routes and safety topics.
• Oversee dispatch operations, track routes, escalate exceptions, and communicate with drivers.
• Provide first-line response to client issues and escalate when required.
• Oversee contractor end-of-day check-in and paperwork review.
• Maintain records in the delivery management platform (DispatchTrack).
• Manage operations in the absence of senior staff; ensure dock, dispatch, and customer service execution.
• Enforce safety, policy, and service standards; monitor processes and suggest improvements.
