Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a White Glove Residential Delivery Operations Manager in New Jersey to lead contracted home delivery teams and internal staff in a fast-paced setting.

You will manage transportation, warehouse, and final mile operations to meet client requirements while ensuring a positive customer experience. The role demands 3-5 years in white glove or last‑mile delivery, strong leadership, and a proven ability to optimize fulfillment, safety, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, technology, order fulfillment to retail, transportation, and supply chain management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective organizational and planning skills including problem solving with a team.
• Experience in direct customer interaction with managing work teams to meet client expectations.
• Proven leadership ability with mentoring and team development.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• 2-3 years in warehouse management, distribution, and inventory control (3PL).
• Track record of warehouse management for large clients with multi-year service agreements.
• Manage up to 9+ delivery units per day with contracted teams.
• 2-3 years in managing home delivery/3PL and P&Ls.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic direction so delivery operations align with client goals.
• Measure and monitor complete fulfillment cycle including transportation and inspections.
• Ensure OSHA and local safety compliance across operations.
• Enforce government regulations relating to warehouse and transportation operations.
• Support maintenance activities and policies across operations.
• Foster a team-oriented culture and employee development.
• Review activity and forecasts to determine process changes.
• Direct responsible for performance of direct reports and coaching.
• Develop personal development plans aligned with client requirements.
• Provide KPI reporting and insights to leadership.
• Oversee 3-5 years of experience in home delivery/3PL and P&L responsibilities.
