Job summary

Mobile Communications America in Alexandria, LA seeks an experienced Communication Systems Technician to support our MSS (Voice) division. You will install, program, maintain, troubleshoot and repair land mobile radio systems for public safety, healthcare, education, utilities, and more.

Travel to customer sites as needed; work with team; complete service tickets; follow safety standards. Qualifications: 2+ years diagnosing, repairing, programming and installing mobile comms equipment; associate

Qualifications

At least two years diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing mobile communications equipment.
Experience with spectrum analyzers, system analyzers, watt meters, TDRs, FDRs and multi-meters.
Knowledge of two-way radio theory and related technologies.
Valid driver's license and ability to pass background/drug screening.
Associates degree in Electronics or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, program, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair land mobile radio (LMR) systems and related equipment.
Design and upgrade customer systems to the latest technologies and solutions.
Conduct modifications to electronics per customer requests and deploy firmware updates.
Provide technical support and communicate system performance and maintenance needs to customers.
Complete service tickets and documentation accurately and within timelines.
Adhere to safety standards and company procedures.
Join on-call rotation for after-hours support.
