Job summary

Mobile Communications America seeks an experienced Communication Systems Technician to support the Western region of Maryland in the MSS (Voice) division. The role involves installing, maintaining, and upgrading land mobile radio systems for public safety, healthcare, and other sectors.

Candidates should have 2+ years in diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing mobile comms equipment, plus familiarity with spectrum analyzers and other test gear.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing mobile communications equipment.
• Experience with testing equipment such as spectrum analyzers, watt meters, and multimeters.
• Knowledge of two-way radio theory or willingness to learn.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair land mobile radio (LMR) systems and related communications equipment.
• Design and upgrade customer systems to the latest technologies and solutions.
• Conduct modifications per customer requests and deploy firmware/software updates.
• Provide technical support and communicate system performance, maintenance, and repair needs.
• Complete service tickets, work orders, and documentation within deadlines.
• Adhere to safety standards and service procedures; participate in on-call rotation.
