Job summary

Mobile Communications America, Inc. in Jonesboro, AR seeks a Communication Systems Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain land mobile radio systems for public safety and other sectors.

You will contribute to design upgrades and support customer systems with firmware updates and technical guidance. The role requires 2+ years in mobile equipment diagnostics, strong customer service, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Two or more years diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing mobile communications equipment.
• Experience with spectrum analyzers, system analyzers, watt meters, TDRs, FDRs, and multimeters.
• Understanding or willingness to learn two-way radio theory.
• Experience with Motorola Solutions or competitors is a plus.
• Team-focused with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Associate degree in Electronics/IT/Telecommunications or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair land mobile radio systems and related equipment for various markets.
• Design and upgrade customer systems to latest technologies.
• Perform minor circuitry modifications and deploy firmware updates as requested.
• Provide technical support and communicate system performance to customers.
• Collaborate with the Service Manager and customers.
• Complete service tickets, work orders, and documentation on time.
• Willingness to learn new technology in communications and equipment.
• Adhere to safety standards and established procedures.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
