Job summary

Small Door Veterinary is seeking a Veterinary Technician Recruiter to partner with clinics in identifying and hiring veterinary technicians and related roles. You will own the full cycle of recruitment, build relationships within the veterinary community, and help plan for new practice openings while traveling to markets as needed.

You will engage passive candidates, manage candidate communications, and collaborate with regional leaders to forecast staffing needs and maintain a healthy pipeline

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience (3+ years preferred).
• Track record recruiting scarce, passive clinical talent and keeping candidates engaged.
• Strong sourcing skills using LinkedIn and Boolean search.
• Solid understanding of medical terminology (animal or human).

Responsibilities

• Be the main recruiting partner for veterinary technicians in your markets; travel to clinics and priority markets.
• Own the full hiring process; manage candidate communication from outreach to offer.
• Reach passive candidates through direct outreach, industry networking, and job boards.
• Coordinate on-site interviews and prep with clinic leaders.
• Maintain a proactive pipeline for upcoming openings 3–6 months ahead.
• Collaborate with Regional Directors, Practice Managers, and medical leadership.
• Keep accurate candidate records and provide real-time pipeline insights.
• Help create consistent hiring practices across markets.
