Job summary

RK&K is seeking Transportation Construction Inspectors (TCI 2) for PennDOT and regional highway and bridge projects in Eastern Pennsylvania. This field role is primarily site-based within the greater Pittsburgh region, with duties including overseeing contractor QC, performing QA sampling, and generating daily reports and PSA/IDR documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years transportation construction inspection experience or 4+ years related construction experience.
• Transportation Technology Construction Inspection certification or Civil/Construction degree as alternative.
• Active PE license a plus; valid driver’s license and own vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractor quality control on roadway and bridge projects.
• Perform QA sampling and field testing; complete daily reports.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and communicate with clients and field staff.
• Inspect at various construction sites within the Pittsburgh region; adapt to day/night shifts.
