Job summary

Urban Engineers seeks Transportation Construction Inspectors (TCI-1, TCI-2, TCI-3) for PennDOT District 4-0 projects, including the Green Ridge Street Bridge replacement in Scranton, PA. Inspectors will verify highway and bridge construction per plans, and coordinate with the contractor and client.

Candidates should have PennDOT TCI experience or higher, plus at least two certifications (e.g., PennDOT Concrete Technician, NECEPT Asphalt Field Technician, NICET Highway Construction) or a PA PE

Qualifications

• PennDOT experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector (TCI) or higher.
• At least two certifications from the listed options or a PA Professional Engineer license.
• Experience with PennDOT ECMS v3 and PPCC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect highways and bridges to ensure conformance with plans and specs.
• Document field activities daily and act as client representative.
• Maintain daily communication between inspection team, contractor, and client.
• Prepare PSA reports, process payments, and use electronic tablets/computers for documentation.
