Job summary

RK&K is seeking Transportation Construction Inspectors (TCI 2) for PennDOT and regional highway projects in Eastern Pennsylvania, with a field-based role around the Pittsburgh area. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in transportation construction inspection or 4+ years in related construction fields, including heavy highway/bridge work.

Required credentials include a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred certifications or a PE license.

Qualifications

• Two years of transportation construction inspection experience or four years in related construction roles.
• Attendance and quality control oversight on roadway projects.
• Experience with field testing and data reporting.
• PE license or engineering degree pathways encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Inspect roadway and bridge projects and ensure contractor QC operations.
• Complete daily sampling, testing reports and PSA/IDR documentation.
• Communicate findings with clients, contractors, and field staff.
• Navigate varying terrain and work site safety practices.
