Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen Inc. is seeking motivated Construction Inspectors to monitor bridges, roads, canals, utilities, and multi-use trails across Ohio.

Candidates should have a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while aligning with the company’s focus on employee satisfaction and a collaborative, employee-owned culture. The role emphasizes safety, communication with project managers, and proper documentation using SiteManager/ProjectWise.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Five years field experience in bridge/roadway projects preferred.
• ODOT certifications are required.
• Experience with ODOT documentation/inspection reports and Field Manager/Field Book.
• Knowledge of AASHTO, FHWA, and ODOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections and observations of contractor work on bridge, roadway, and related projects.
• Measure, compute, and record contract quantities for payment.
• Read and interpret project plans, specs, and standards.
• Conduct material sampling/testing per project standards and specs.
• Ensure work/materials meet project standards and specs.
• Document daily project progress and conformance/nonconformance.
