Job summary

Just Fare, based in Oakland, CA, seeks a Training Manager to develop training materials and standardize SOPs across Pantry Services and Catering operations. The role requires hands-on, field-based work and travel to client locations, collaborating with operations leadership to ensure consistent training delivery.

The Training Manager will create onboarding programs, coaching plans, and tools to assess proficiency while supporting launches and transitions for new sites.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in food service, hospitality, retail, workplace services, or similar hands-on operations.
• Experience training and coaching frontline employees and managers.
• Strong ability to translate field processes into clear SOPs, guides, and checklists.
• Experience with multi-site or multi-unit operations is highly preferred.
• Excellent facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop training materials and facilitate onboarding for frontline employees, site leads, and managers.
• Create onboarding and role-specific training plans; conduct hands-on field training and coaching.
• Maintain and standardize SOPs, checklists, training guides, and operating standards across sites.
• Support calibration of training with Catering and Pantry Services, ensuring consistency.
• Travel regularly to client locations to observe workflows and reinforce standards.
• Document field learnings to iteratively improve SOPs and training programs.
