Job summary

Ashley Furniture in San Francisco is seeking a field-focused leader to train licensees, drive product merchandising and assortments, and support new store openings and onboarding. You will work across markets to ensure brand standards and drive wholesale growth, traveling frequently to assist licensees and deliver training.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years in retail sales management, with a track record in training, merchandising and franchise operations, plus strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• Three to five years of retail sales and sales management or distribution center experience; preferably with furniture retail.
• Visual Merchandising, Furniture or Training experience a plus.
• Exceptional knowledge of retail, sales and training operations processes.
• Willingness to travel 80%.
• Ability to facilitate training and/or presentations in front of audiences.
• Strong business acumen with knowledge of finance, management, marketing and merchandising.
• Knowledge of licensed business owner or franchise law.
• Knowledge of training management and improvement methods and tools.
• Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills; translate data into action to drive results.
• Outstanding leadership skills and ability to build an inspiring culture.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong project/resource management and organizational skills.
• Strong relationship management and coaching skills.
• Strong agility and adaptability to changing directions.
• Strong skills in MS Office Suite or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing location visits to train licensees on product training, merchandising and assortments.
• Support licensee new store openings and onboarding.
• Participate in operational strategy meetings to address licensee needs or issues.
• Ensure licensees remain in compliance with brand standards through field visits and reporting.
• Foster licensee network communication and reporting protocols.
• Attend Markets to introduce licensees to new products and programs.
• Participate in quarterly Licensee Sales meetings to provide team support.
• Assist in supporting Tier 2-5 licensees as needed and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
• Promote the Ashley brand through community involvement and events.
• Demonstrate the company’s core values in performance of all duties.
