Job summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking a Selling Manager to support the Store Manager and lead showroom operations. You will supervise departments, review sales performance, coach staff, and manage hiring and training with timely reporting.

This role emphasizes leadership of the sales, guest experience, and visual teams, driving customer satisfaction and achieving store goals in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2+ years working in the retail industry.
• 4+ years supervising in a retail environment.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn in-house computer programs and systems.
• Flexible hours and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage all showroom departments as directed by the Sales Manager.
• Review sales, margins, quotas and closing ratios; set future goals.
• Assist Sales Manager with customer-related issues escalated appropriately.
• Collaborate with Visual Presentation Manager on product placement and policy reporting.
• Lead sales, guest experience, and visual teams; coach staff for success.
• Assist with hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Prepare and administer performance evaluations for staff.
• Ensure timely communications and attend monthly staff meetings.
