Job summary

Intertek in Dupont, WA is seeking an Engineering Field Technician I to join our Building & Construction team. You will perform testing and site assessments under supervision, report data, and support field operations on construction projects.

The role offers hands-on testing of soil, concrete and asphalt, plus documentation, client communication, and adherence to safety standards. A Nuclear Gauge Operator Certification and a valid driver’s license are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 30–50 pounds frequently; occasional over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Willingness to work outdoors in heat or cold and at various heights.
• U.S. citizenship as required for Navy installation work.
• Nuclear Gauge Operator Certification (APNGA or equivalent) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment for soil, concrete, asphalt and other materials.
• Record detailed data and provide data interpretation in reports.
• Use drawings and specifications to support field testing activities.
• Communicate with clients and project teams on-site and remotely.
• Maintain accurate test records and adhere to safety and quality standards.
