Job summary

Intertek Building & Construction is seeking a Field Technician I to perform construction materials testing in Jefferson, LA. The role involves field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, and related materials, with travel to local projects, and reporting of results in accordance with project requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years in materials testing, a valid driver's license, and relevant certifications such as ACI Field-Testing Technician Level 1 and nuclear

Qualifications

• Two years of Construction Materials Testing experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Level 1.
• Nuclear Density Experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and perform laboratory and field testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials.
• Evaluate and report test data accurately using drawings, specifications, plans, and diagrams.
• Maintain detailed records of testing activities and observations.
• Follow established testing methods and procedures to observe site activities.
• Capable of meeting mental and physical requirements of the job.
