Job summary

Pepco, part of Exelon, is seeking Testing and Commissioning engineers to commission, test and maintain protection and control systems inside substations. You will lead field testing, write test plans, and collaborate with substation engineering, operations and maintenance teams to improve reliability and system performance.

Position may require long hours and 24/7 coverage during storms, with frequent travel to various substations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 7+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to substations.
• Able to work shifts and respond to emergencies 24/7.
• Experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices.
• Ability to direct crews during maintenance or commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Commission and test protection and control systems in substations.
• Lead field testing and coordinate with engineering and operations teams.
• Develop commissioning plans and procedures, analyze test results.
