Job summary

Exelon seeks Testing & Commissioning Engineers to field-test, commission, and troubleshoot substation protection, SCADA, and automation systems in Illinois. You will write commissioning plans, develop test procedures, and coordinate with engineering and operations teams for outages and maintenance.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Engineering or PE license with 4–7 years of experience and willingness to work extended hours, including storms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or PE license.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• 4–7 years of professional engineering experience; related experience noted in job description.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support substation maintenance and contractor crews.
• Interface with Central T&S Engineering, Work Management and Operations teams.
• Assist in substation outage/work planning and maintenance programs.
• Perform field testing and commissioning of new equipment and troubleshoot issues.
