Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a Field Operations Technician to perform installation, repair, and testing of MACD activities on telecom equipment. The role emphasizes customer service and on-site support across North America, including travel with a company vehicle.

Responsibilities include trouble-shooting, cable installation, and safe operation of tools while maintaining high service quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
• Customer-focused attitude enabling calm handling of challenging situations with integrity.
• Technical college degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience working in the field independently in a dynamic environment.
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service experience to every client
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using effective de-escalation techniques
• Perform on-site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack-mounted networking equipment
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity
• Follow Ledcor’s safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times
