Job summary

Comcast is seeking a field technician in Georgia to perform routine plant maintenance, troubleshoot service outages, and conduct fiber and coaxial cable work across HFC/EPON networks.

The role requires on-site work, driving a company vehicle, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and overtime. Relevant experience and a valid license are essential; CT4+ and Comcast experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of twelve months cable telecommunications, broadband, or similar experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.
• CT4 and above preferred; Comcast experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot analog and digital optics to support connectivity to the node, remote OLT/vBNG, or OLT, and channelized and non-channelized optical signals.
• Isolate and resolve fiber optic signal impairments for HFC and EPON networks.
• Perform construction maintenance such as splicing coaxial cable and equipment to restore plant to specification; splices and activates new plant as required.
• Respond to and repair service interruptions during regular hours, shift work, or on-call; may include evenings and weekends.
• Complete required paperwork and document work orders in customer accounts.
