Job summary

Comcast Advertising in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking a Communications Technician 4 to perform routine plant maintenance, troubleshoot service and locate issues across HFC and EPON networks.

You will work with teams to splice coaxial cables, inspect fiber connections, and maintain power supplies, following NEC, NESC, OSHA, FCC and local codes.

Shift may include evenings or weekends; some on-call and overtime hours. Strong safety and documentation skills required.

Qualifications

• Familiar with NEC, NESC, OSHA, FCC and local codes.
• Ability to troubleshoot analog/digital fiber and coaxial networks.
• Strong safety mindset and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot fiber and coaxial paths to support node connectivity and service restoration.
• Splice aerial/underground coaxial plant; activate new lines and repair damaged sections.
• Perform CLI ride-outs, track leakage, and coordinate fixes with other teams.
• Record job details and complete required paperwork for each work order.
• Work regular hours, with potential evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
