Job summary

Truvista Fiber is seeking an Engineering Construction Technician to splice fiber, coax, and copper cables, maintain the cable plant, and respond to outages in North Georgia markets. The role involves driving company vehicles, occasional travel to SC, and working in various outdoor environments following safety codes.

Required is a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Leadership and professionalism in field operations.
• Experience with telecommunications construction practices is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; CDL/DOT certification as required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to travel within GA and to SC when required.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Splices fiber, coax, and copper cables and prepares for new construction.
• Maintains and repairs cable plant and tests for fault locations.
• Transfers service and relocates drops as directed by supervisors.
• Operates digging and trenching equipment for direct buried cables.
• Maintains clearance and safety around pedestals, poles and sites.
• Participates in on-call rotation and responds to outages as needed.
• Drives company vehicles and may require CDL for DOT compliance.
