Comcast is seeking a skilled field technician to perform routine plant maintenance, troubleshoot service failures across Video, Comcast Digital Voice (CDV) and High Speed Internet (CHSI), and to track and repair the Cumulative Leakage Index (CLI) and related plant issues.

You will inspect fiber optic and coaxial networks, splice and activate plant, respond to outages, and coordinate with Construction, Head End and Operations to resolve complex problems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of twelve months cable telecommunications, broadband, or similar experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Comcast experience preferred; CT4 and above preferred.

Responsabilités

• Possess ability to troubleshoot on analog and digital optics to support connectivity to the node, remote OLT/vBNG, or OLT, and channelized and non-channelized optical signals.
• Performs construction maintenance duties such as splices aerial/underground coaxial cable and equipment to restore cable plant to system specification.
• Responds to damage scenarios and initiates fixes and/or communicates and arranges appropriate fix agents through collaboration with other departments to resolve complex network issues.
• Performs CLI ride-out and track and repair leakage, as necessary.
• Checks in each job in a timely manner and completes associated paperwork with each work order.
• Responds to and repairs service interruptions during regular business hours, shift work or when On-calls as required.
• Normal work shift may include evenings and/or weekends; may include 10 hour days for 4 days a week; overtime as necessary.
