Job summary

Pauley Construction, LLC is seeking a Technician Engineer Field to support planning, designing, and permitting for new cable routes. You will visit client sites, assess OSP needs, and collaborate with engineers, construction, and project teams to deliver accurate drawings and permit submissions.

You will review jurisdictional permitting requirements, influence route selection based on economy and agency rules, and coordinate with GIS/drafting teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 4–6 years of experience in the OSP Engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage field engineering activities for planning, designing, and obtaining permits for new cable routes.
• Visit customer sites to gather OSP site survey information and determine required equipment.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, project management, and scheduling to deliver results.
• Produce construction drawings with drafting/GIS teams for network construction.
• Prepare permit drawings and as-built drawings per customer specs.
• Research permitting requirements from state/county/city authorities and integrate into OSP design.
• Engage with the customer’s engineering team daily via emails/phone, sometimes in-person meetings.
• Maintain safe working habits per regulations.
