Job summary

RJE Telecom in the New Jersey market seeks an OSP Engineering Field Tech to design and manage outside plant (OSP) work orders and drawings under supervision. You will coordinate with the drafting and GIS teams and plan and permit new cable routes, both aerial and underground, to support network expansion.

You’ll conduct site visits in listed NJ areas, ensure accurate record updates, and prepare estimates for expenditures while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Verizon OSP Engineering experience required.
• At least two years of Telecom OSP Engineering experience.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; ability to prepare estimates.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare outside plant work orders and drawings with documentation updates.
• Provide cost estimates for work orders and prepare placement and joint-use memos.
• Coordinate with drafting and GIS teams to produce construction drawings.
• Plan, design, and obtain permits for new cable routes.
• Design aerial and underground telecom plant routes.
