Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a Drafter Designer to plot, map, design, and draft in CADD for telecommunications networks and permits. You will create accurate network maps and detailed construction prints to meet customer expectations.

Work with Engineering and Construction, coordinate with permitting agencies, develop OSP network designs in various applications, and prepare documentation like bill of materials and labor quantities while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecommunications OSP design/engineering is required.
• Knowledge of telecom standards and regulations (OSP).
• Ability to meet tight project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create new Outside Plant (OSP) network designs in various applications/software.
• Develop and issue work prints for OSP Telecom networks.
• Work with Engineering and Construction departments and coordinate with permitting agencies.
• Create documentation and reporting to support the work package, i.e. bill of materials, labor quantities, etc.
• Ensure facility designs follow company standards and comply with local, state and federal regulations (including RUS).
• Provide documentation for cost-effective placement of communication facilities.
• Meet project deadlines and complete tasks under tight timelines.
• Other duties as assigned
