Job summary

Pauley Construction, LLC is seeking a Technician Engineer Field to support the design, installation, and maintenance of telecom infrastructure in the Phoenix area. You will lead field engineering activities, gather site data, and help produce permit and construction drawings for new cable routes.

The role requires 4–6 years in OSP engineering, strong communication, and the ability to travel. A clean driving record and willingness to work after hours or weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in the OSP Engineering field (aerial and underground construction methods)
• Experience with cable placement and splicing methods and practices
• Effective communication skills and ability to travel
• Clean driving record and willingness to work after hours or weekends when needed
• Familiarity with permitting requirements and RUS units is a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee field engineering activities for planning, designing, and permitting new cable routes
• Visit sites to gather OSP data and determine required equipment
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to deliver results
• Produce construction and permit drawings with drafting/GIS teams
• Develop base mapping and as-built drawings in electronic formats
• Research permitting requirements from state and local authorities
• Evaluate route options including aerial and underground paths
• Engage with the customer’s engineering team via email/phone and in-person meetings
• Maintain safe work habits and compliance with regulations
