Field Technician (Mechanic) (Pump, Power & HVAC)

Position Overview

EquipmentShare is hiring a Field Technician (Mechanic) for our rental facility in West Palm Beach, FL. The role involves providing maintenance and repair for various customer and company-owned Pump, Power, & HVAC equipment. Technicians will work with the latest industry equipment.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay after 40 hours. On-call during weekends only in specific circumstances.

Primary Responsibilities

• Practice safe repair practices
• Operate technology (laptops, tablets) efficiently
• Travel to customer sites for preventive maintenance and repairs of generators, HVAC, electrical, and air compressors
• Diagnose and repair equipment failures at shop and customer locations
• Collaborate with other technicians and train lower-level staff as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
• Assist with equipment and parts logistics
• Adhere to OSHA requirements (preferred)
• Participate in OEM training programs
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

• Own essential tools for the role
• Strong mechanical skills and tool proficiency
• Experience with power generators and HVAC systems
• Ability to interpret schematics and calculate power/tonnage requirements
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or trade certification preferred
• Experience in field service, maintenance, or repair desirable
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; must be 21+ to operate company vehicle

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
• May need to be clean-shaven for site entry (if required)
• Pass a drug screening (safety-sensitive position)
