Job summary

New Era Technology is seeking a Field Technician to perform local field service and regional installation, supervise subcontractors, and support QA on projects at customer sites. You will represent New Era Technology in the field, ensuring safety and timely completion per scope of work.

Key duties include installing cabling infrastructure, handling POS, CCTV, and security systems, and coordinating with project managers. Travel may be required; a valid driver’s license is necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience with subcontractors and field installs.
• Ability to install/terminate cabling and test up to fiber and copper cabling.
• Knowledge of networking gear (routers, switches, modems) and IP basics.
• Familiarity with security systems (POS, CCTV) and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and field personnel.
• Ensure safe, timely completion of field work per scope of work.
• Complete client checklists, photos, and tests and report to management within 24 hours.
• Keep Project Managers informed of progress and issues.
• Provide after-hours or emergency field support as needed.
