Job summary

Electric Power Systems Technology (EPST) is seeking a Field Technician II to perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation equipment with increased independence. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and the ability to troubleshoot and support complex field activities under supervision.

The position requires a degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or military experience, 2–4 years in the industry, and may be accompanied by travel and overtime responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Requires pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Willing to travel and work overtime as needed.
• 2–4 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
• NETA II certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety policies, including PPE usage in substation environments.
• Perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of high, medium, and low voltage equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment using schematics and manuals; escalate complex issues.
• Document testing and maintenance per project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to complete field activities safely.
