Job summary
Electric Power Systems is seeking a Field Technician II to perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation electrical equipment with increasing independence. You will troubleshoot issues using schematics and manuals, document work meticulously, and support commissioning activities while prioritizing safety and quality.
Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in the industry, a degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or military experience, and a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology, or Military experience preferred.
- 2–4 years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation electrical equipment with increased independence.
- Troubleshoot issues using schematics and technical manuals; escalate complex issues as needed.
- Document testing, maintenance, and repair work accurately per project requirements.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and senior technicians to complete field activities safely.
