Job summary

UES is seeking a motivated Field Technician I to support engineering, environmental services, materials testing, and inspections. You will conduct on-site inspections, collect samples, and perform tests to ensure projects meet standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or coursework in construction, engineering, geology, or a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials to verify compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collect, label, and transport samples from job sites to laboratories for testing and analysis.
• Ensure testing requirements are met and compliant with project specifications and company policies.
• Prepare detailed reports, logs, and documentation of test results for project managers.
• Maintain testing equipment and follow safety guidelines per OSHA and company policies.
• Document test results and site conditions, submitting reports and presentations as required.
• Communicate with dispatch, field supervisors, contractors, and project managers with real-time updates.
• Adhere to timelines, travel schedules, and project deadlines.
• Support ongoing training and certifications to maintain proficiency.
