UES is seeking a Field Technician I to support engineering, environmental services, materials testing, and inspection projects. The role involves on-site inspections, sampling, and laboratory testing to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in construction/engineering is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record; ability to operate company vehicles.
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical documents and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials to verify compliance with project specifications.
• Properly collect, label, and transport samples from job sites to laboratories for testing and analysis.
• Ensure project testing requirements are met and compliant with specifications and company policies.
• Complete detailed reports, logs, and documentation of test results for managers and stakeholders.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure it functions correctly per guidelines.
• Document test results, observations, and site conditions and prepare reports and presentations.
• Communicate with dispatch, field supervisors, and project managers with real‑time updates.
• Adhere to schedules, deadlines, and changing project requirements; travel as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and OSHA safety programs; follow PPE protocols.
• Operate and maintain an assigned company vehicle and ensure its upkeep.
• Perform other duties to support project goals and company initiatives.
