Job summary

UES is seeking a motivated Field Technician I to support engineering, environmental services, materials testing, and inspection projects. You will perform on-site inspections, conduct field tests, and collect samples to ensure projects meet regulatory requirements.

The role involves frequent travel to job sites, hands-on testing, and collaboration with senior staff to gain practical skills and advance professionally in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in outdoor or field-based roles is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong safety awareness.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic data collection tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates to verify compliance with specs and standards.
• Properly collect, label, and transport samples to laboratories for testing.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting.
• Communicate with dispatch, field supervisors, and project managers about site conditions and status.
• Adhere to safety protocols, OSHA regulations, PPE, and company procedures.
• Operate and maintain a company vehicle and coordinate maintenance.
