Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in construction, engineering, geology, or related field is a plus.
• 0-3 years of outdoor, field-based experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; able to operate company vehicles.
• Certifications such as ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing or ability to obtain.
• Commitment to safety and OSHA guidelines including PPE.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Field Data Collection (FDC) software or similar tools.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong time management and organizational skills; attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and with a team; flexible scheduling (early mornings, weekends, travel).

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to laboratories.
• Prepare detailed test reports and maintain documentation.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure proper calibration.
• Communicate test results and site conditions to supervisors and managers.
• Adhere to project timelines and safety protocols; use PPE as required.
• Operate and maintain company vehicle; arrange routine maintenance.
• Support training and certification programs as needed.
