Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician I to support engineering, environmental services, materials testing, and inspection projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training a plus.
• 0-3 years of field-based outdoor or physically demanding work preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Industry certifications such as ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing or ability to obtain within a set period.
• Commitment to OSHA safety standards and proper PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other materials to verify compliance with project specs and regulations.
• Collect, label, and transport samples from job sites to laboratories for testing.
• Ensure testing requirements align with project specifications, requirements, and policies.
• Complete detailed test reports and documentation for project managers and stakeholders.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure proper functioning.
• Document test results, observations, and site conditions accurately and promptly.
• Communicate with dispatch, field supervisors, and project managers with real-time updates.
• Adhere to timelines, schedules, and deadlines while remaining flexible for project needs.
• Participate in ongoing training and certification to maintain proficiency.
• Follow strict safety protocols and PPE guidelines.
